Writemator is a highly regarded writing app available for iOS and iPadOS, praised by industry professionals and users alike. Based on the well-known WriteRoom app, it offers a robust alternative to other text editors like iA Writer and 1Writer.

One notable feature of Writemator is its built-in Files App Support, allowing users to easily access and manage their documents. Additionally, it supports the Multiple Window feature on iPadOS, enabling productive multitasking.
The app also boasts various productivity-enhancing features. Drag and Drop Support allows for seamless transfer of files, such as plain text, xml, html, and URLs, making it convenient for users working in Split View. The Touch ID/Passcode/Face ID support ensures a secure writing environment.
Writemator offers a comprehensive search tool that allows users to effortlessly find specific text within their documents. The app also includes useful features such as Typewriter Mode, Live Word Counter, Customizable System Dark Mode, Reading Time option, and Lined Paper option.
In terms of syncing capabilities, Writemator supports Dropbox Sync API V2, offering both automatic and manual sync options. Users have the flexibility to choose the folders they want to link to their Dropbox accounts.
The app prioritizes user convenience with its extensive collection of 58 keyboard shortcuts (excluding iPadOS system keyboard shortcuts) and the Quick Search & Replace text feature. There are also language tools available such as synonyms, antonyms, and rhyming words for selected words.
Writemator provides an intuitive user interface, with a drag-to-scroll scroll bar for convenient navigation in larger documents. In full-screen view, users can tap on the margins to move the cursor towards the margin, exclusive to iPad.
Font enthusiasts will appreciate the selection of over 150 fonts available in Writemator, including popular options like iA Writer Duospace, IBM Plex, and SF UI Text. Customization options extend to the extended keyboard row with customizable keys and the Dark Mode keyboard.
The app seamlessly integrates with other tools, supporting TextExpander Touch Expansion and utilizing the latest SDKs of TETouch. Document Picker Support enables effortless import and export methods of document handling.
Additional features include access to Writemator files within the iOS Files app, the ability to change app icons, customizable text and background colors, line spacing options, Siri Shortcuts, tint color preferences, sort options for folders, hide or unhide status bar, scroll heading hiding during typing, document and folder renaming, swipe-to-delete functionality, link detection within documents, right-to-left text support, and powerful URL scheme support.
Moreover, Writemator allows users to export and share files in PDF format and gives the option to hide or show file extensions for various file types.
